Mikalia (2045 - 2049)
Charlemagne Alvaro Cabrera (born August 2nd 2017 - died October 4th 2049) was an American entrepreneur, sports influencer, and professional Baseball Extra designated hitter and third baseman.
Born in Smithtown, New York, Cabrera showed an interest in baseball at an early age. He saw his first Major League outing with the New York Yankees in 2038, during which he sustained an injury that interrupted his career. He returned to sports in 2046, rejoining the Yankees during their transition to Baseball Extra, where he earned the popular nickname ‘Lightning Baron’.
During his hiatus, Cabrera worked in the healthcare sector, founding Liveswing as an entrepreneurial label for a range of lifestyle products and brands, which he later renamed to Charlemagne Industries (CMI).
Outside his sports and business careers, Cabrera was a prominent member of the Latent Space Church (LSC), which had resulted in controversy and scrutiny of his involvement in the organisation.
On October 4th 2049, Cabrera committed suicide in his home in Alameda, California.

Early life
Charlemagne Alvaro Cabrera was born August 2nd 2017 in Smithtown, New York, United States (US) to Nelson Isaac Cabrera, a light rail engineer, and Marie-Rose Villaneuve-Cabrera, a music teacher. He was one of eight siblings, all of whom were homeschooled. [1]
Cabrera had claimed baseball as “his first love” after his parents sent him to baseball camps starting at the age of seven. He played two successful seasons of college baseball at the University of Ronkonkoma, receiving national honours as one of the best players at the amateur level. Entering the 2038 draft with consideration as a top prospect, Cabrera was selected in the first round by the New York Yankees with the 9th overall pick and made his major league debut 55 days later, one of the quickest debuts for an offensive player. [1]
Career
New York Yankees
On March 25th 2038, Cabrera was called up to the Yankees’ major league team for the opening game of the season. He suffered an injury during his first outing and was immediately removed from the game and hospitalised. [2]
Left with chronic pain, Cabrera spent the rest of the 2038 season on the disabled list. In November 2038, he travelled to Canada to take part in a clinical trial organised by Zhupao to apply medical colloids as part of established neurostimulation treatments. After receiving a colloid implant, Cabrera reported “immediate relief” of his symptoms. [3]
Business ventures
Cabrera’s positive experience with colloids drove him to become an advocate of the technology, appearing in a series of Zhupao-sponsored ads and testimonials to promote the adoption of colloids.
In 2039, Cabrera founded Liveswing as an entrepreneurial label for a range of lifestyle products and brands, most notably the antihistamine No-Sneez. In 2042, Cabrera joined Healthy Horizons as an official spokesperson. Cabrera’s increased popularity and name recognition led him to rename Liveswing to Charlemagne Industries (CMI) in 2048.
Baseball Extra
In 2046, Cabrera became interested in Baseball Extra when he reconnected with his older sister Graciela, who was a passionate participant in the rising transmedia format. [1] Sensing an opportunity for another shot at his dream, Cabrera signed up to Orbitat and landed a one-season contract with the Yankees, who were in the process of transitioning to Baseball Extra. [4]
Cabrera’s initial performance and growing popularity in the Extra layer led to an endorsement from the Major League Baseball Extra (MLBE). Nicknamed the ‘Lightning Baron’ by his fans, Cabrera was selected as “Most Tsundere” and awarded the title of “Best Ending” in 2048.
Cabrera had a career .290 batting average and achieved 682 home runs. He was the only MLBE player to achieve over 350 stolen bases. He was most commonly shipped with shortstop A.J. Weaver and was assigned the element of Fire.
Latent Space Church
Cabrera was a prominent member of the Latent Space Church (LSC), which he joined at some point in the early 2040s before publicly confirming his membership in 2047. When asked about his association with the LSC, Cabrera stated that “it’s not really a problem with my cognition, but each person and all people do need to imagine and remember something to believe in. And I think that’s probably something very beautiful, the clarity you imagine when someone leads you.”
Death
On October 4th 2049, Cabrera died in his home in Alameda, California, the reported result of a self-inflicted gunshot wound. News media outlets were delayed in reporting Cabrera’s death, as it appeared he was still communicating through his social media channels. It was later discovered that his digital double, a consequence of his LSC membership, was the source of the posthumous posts.
Sports industry gossip outlets speculated that Cabrera took his own life in response to a viral Viuvee stream purportedly from the late Xu Shaoyong. In the stream, an image of Xu claimed to “live on in the dataset,” inviting LSC members to “join [him].” [5] The stream, which has led to a string of reported suicides among LSC members, has been identified as artificial intelligence (AI)-generated. [6]
Personal life
Cabrera married Mikalia in 2045. He had previously been publicly linked to model Belis Smith, actor Vanilla Sea, and pharmaceutical device sales influencer Monica Jackson.
