Richie Diniz (born August 11th 2007 - died October 3rd 2049) was an American footballer, entrepreneur, and influencer who played as a midfielder for Major League Soccer (MLS) club Atlético Las Vegas.

Born in Miami, Florida, Diniz started his career at several US clubs and later played in Brazil and Europe before returning to the US. He was known for his box-to-box role as a “roaming” pressing defender.

In his later years, Diniz became known as a longevity influencer who credited several experimental medical interventions with prolonging his football career. While many professional players have achieved meaningful top-flight success well into their forties, Diniz was notable for doing so while not being a star player.

On October 3rd 2049, Diniz died shortly after undergoing unspecified surgery in Basel, Switzerland.

Early life

Richie Diniz was born Enzo Richard deAnastasio e Diniz Freitas on August 11th 2007 in Miami, Florida, United States (US). Diniz was the only child of Brazilian real estate entrepreneur Gerson Diniz and American television actor Melissa deAnastasio.

Having shown aptitude for soccer from an early age, Diniz joined Inter Miami Academy and played in their under-15 and under-17 teams until leaving to attend Duke University, where he started for 23 games in two seasons with the Blue Devils.

In 2027, Diniz entered the MLS SuperDraft, where he was selected by Real Salt Lake with the twenty-first pick. He made his Major League Soccer (MLS) debut the following season in a 2-0 loss to the LA Galaxy. [1]

Career

2027–2035: MLS

Diniz went on to play another season as a reserve midfielder for Salt Lake, after which he became a regular starter in his third season after re-signing with the club. Following the end of the 2029 season, Diniz was traded to the Colorado Rapids for ¥155 million in general allocation money plus ¥13.5 million in performance-based incentives. Diniz played twelve games in 2030, but was sidelined for the rest of the season due to injury.  [2]

In 2031, Diniz was loaned to Brazilian side Red Bull Bragantino, where he played 30 games in the first division of the Brazilian championship. After the end of his season with Bragantino, Colorado opted not to renew Diniz’ contract.

Diniz signed for the 2032 season with Nashville SC, where he began to blossom as a versatile box-to-box midfielder. He assisted in two goals and scored in four that year, coming to be regarded as a fan favourite. Nashville opted to re-sign Diniz for a five-year contract. [3]

2035–2045: UEFA

After three years with Nashville, Diniz was traded before the 2036 season to Serie A side Lazio. He went on to spend several years in Europe, playing for top-flight European clubs Hellas Verona (2038–2039), VfB Stuttgart (2041–2043), and Red Bull Le Havre (2044). While in Europe, Diniz was praised for his durability even as he aged out of prime football-playing age. During the 2044 Ligue 1 season, Diniz played in all 34 games and scored three goals. [4]

2045–Present: Return to MLS

After being bought out by Le Havre ahead of the 2045 season, Diniz announced that he would sign with Atlético Las Vegas on an unprecedented ten-year deal that would see him play through his late forties. [5]

Life extension advocacy

Diniz credits his 2030 injury with sparking his interest in life extension technology. Over the last two decades of his career, Diniz used his social media presence to promote a number of novel or alternative therapies, including GLP-1 agonists, hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT), kratom, gene therapies, nano-scaffold tendon reconstruction (NSTR), synthetic gland graft therapy (sGGT), and others. [6]

Death

On October 2nd 2049, Diniz underwent an unspecified surgical procedure in Basel, Switzerland. A few hours after midnight on October 3rd 2049, Diniz was pronounced dead owing to surgical complications. [7] While the official announcement of Diniz’ death came from the PR account of Atlético Las Vegas, the news was first leaked online by Diniz’ fandom, known as the Permaballers.
